    Curriculum Vitae

    Baldeep Grewal is a PhD candidate and faculty member at the Julius-Maximilians-University Wuerzburg. She is working on a PhD thesis on petroculture and postcolonial studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Isabel Karremann. 

    She received a master's degree in English Literature at the University of Mumbai in 2017 after submitting a thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shoba V. Ghosh. Her thesis titled "'What Food Are You From': The Culinary as Affect, Nation, and Politics in Robert C. Morais' Novel The Hundred-Foot Journey" centered around the politics of food in the Indian diaspora. After finishing her master's she worked briefly with a Mumbai-based NGO called Point of View which runs several projects around the intersection of gender, sexuality, disability and technology. During this time, she co-authored a study of the Gender Report Card model currently used at annual United Nations Internet Governance Forums to asses the visibility of, and engagement with, gender in internet governance.
