Sarah Knor studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich (M.A. 2010) and at Royal Holloway College, University of London. She is currently working on her doctoral project which examines maternal performativity in South Asian Diasporic literature. This PhD was originally started at the Free University of Berlin where she was also employed as a research fellow. In September 2012 she transferred to the University of Northampton to accept a Marie Curie fellowship which is part of a wider project on “Diasporic Constructions of Home and Belonging” (Cohab) involving six universities worldwide. Since April 2014 she has been a junior lecturer ("wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin") at the University of Würzburg.
