Getting to Wuerzburg
Wuerzburg Central Station is regularly frequented by high speed trains (IC, EC, ICE). Train schedules and connections can be found on the Deutsche Bahn website, where you can also book your tickets and make seat reservations. Early booking is recommended in order to get special offers. Seat reservations are also strongly recommended.
Wuerzburg can be reached via highway A 3 or A 7. Please take into account that these highways are generally very crowded, so public transportation is considered the better option.
If you plan to come by car, please ask your hotel about parking.

Trains to Wuerzburg Central Station (Würzburg Hbf) depart from Frankfurt Airport (Frankfurt (Main) Flugh) every 60 minutes. Mind that there are two airport railway stations. You need to go to the long-distance train station (Fernbahnhof, tracks 4-7).The train ride takes approx. 90 minutes. Advanced booking and seat reservations are recommended. Other nearby airports are Munich (MUC) and Nuernberg (NUE).
Long distance busses connect Wuerzburg with various German and European cities. The bus stop of most of these busses in Wuerzburg is next to the Central Station.
Getting to the Conference Hotels from Wuerzburg Central Station
You can use public transportation from Wuerzburg Central Station to the conference hotels, streetcar and bus stops are right in the front of Wuerzburg Central Station.
A taxi stand can also be found outside Wuerzburg Central Station.
Getting to the Conference Venue
Venue: Gebäude Z6 - Zentrales Hörsaal- u. Seminargebäude
Campus Hubland Süd
You can use the bus lines no. 14 (towards Gerbrunn) / 114 (towards Hubland (Universität Sportzentrum)) / 214 (towards Fachhochschule/FHWS) to reach the campus. You can take these busses at "Hauptbahnhof", "Barbarossaplatz", "Mainfrankentheater".
The bus stops next to the conference venue are "Am Hubland" (line 14), "Philosophisches Institut" or the next stop "Hubland/Mensa" (lines 114 / 214).
The bus line no. 10 towards Hubland or Campus Nord departs at "Sanderglacisstraße". Get off at the stop "Hubland/Mensa" and follow the street a little bit further.

Tickets can be purchased:
- at the ticket machines at any streetcar stop and some bus stops. The ticket machines can be set to English. It is not possible to buy tickets on the streetcars.
- on the bus
Your ticket to the conference venue must be valid for "Großwabe 100." A one-way ticket costs 2,80 €. A day-ticket for one person costs 5,20 €. If you buy your day-ticket on a Saturday, you can use it the entire day of Sunday as well. There is also the possibility of purchasing a ticket strip for 6 trips (11,20 €). These tickets can be shared and are available from the bus driver or from the ticket machines at the streetcar stops. For short distance rides you can use the ticket "Kurzstrecke" (1,40 €, one way, max. 4 stops after entering).
